Davis recap + East Bay Express review

Our show last night in Davis was a blast… a great way to spend a hot summer night: drinkin’, swayin’ and singin’ on the front porch of Sophia’s. Although, we find our selves disappointed in seeing only 1 firedancer this time. Many thanks to Kevin & crew at Sophia’s, and to Adam Arcuragi & his merry little band of troubadours. If they are coming through your town, definitely go see ‘em.
On the way down I80, we happened across a nice little review of our Russian River Songs EP in the East Bay Express local music column - Local Licks:
“There’s an odd, echoey, melancholy sound to Russian River Songs. Which isn’t a bad thing —it’s excellent music to mope to. With lovely blues guitar and some fantastic songwriting, The Shants make deceptively simple music, a blues/country/rock hybrid that’s soothing to a troubled mind. Skip Allums’ gentle, pretty vocals and an overall Southern vibe seal the deal.”
